Ruby Frances Wheeler-Atteberry, 97, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in Springfield, MO. She was born August 14, 1917 in Springfield, Missouri to John C. and Nettie Griffin. Ruby was a member of College Street Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri, and she loved to quilting as well as spending time with her friends and family.
Ruby was preceded in death by her first husband, William Robert Wheeler; her second husband of 24 years, John Atteberry; her parents; and her sister Emma Gaines.
She is survived by her son, Robert Allen Wheeler; her daughter, Margaret Ann Denney; her granddaughter, Karen Robinson; her three grandsons, Paul Denney Jr., Scott and Michael Wheeler; six great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. A dinner and fellowship will immediately follow the graveside service at College Street Baptist Church.
