Marisa and Chris Wren left a message on July 15, 2023:
Russ was our next door neighbor for several years and we adored him. Such a good, strong and positive man who always had a minute to share his time and sound advice no matter how badly he was feeling. We didn’t find out until the night of his services after they were already over. We’re at 509 until we move at the end of the month in with my mom to take care of her for the rest of her years. I want you to know how much happiness and light that man brought into our lives over the years and that we are so sorry for your loss there is no one they could ever be like him again, and the world has lost a beautiful soul. My condolences to all of his loved ones family and friends. May he rest in peace now and always. Please let us know if there’s anything that we can do. I believe he still had my number programmed in his phone under Marisa or neighbor. I hope you’re dancing in the sky, riding both bikes you adored and that you’re somehow seeing Jerusalem anyway. I still have two vases from gorgeous arrangements he made me when I was going through my own struggles, and I’ll cherish them all of my days left. ????????????️????

Russell was my cousin but more like an older brother. We will miss our hero dearly. Thank you for the lessons and love you shared with team Kostielney. Rest easy, dear cousin.

On behalf of the Warriors' Watch Riders, please accept our condolences to Spencer and the family. Russell was a great man and a true Patriot. We appreciate his gentle nature, his love for our country and especially for our veterans and their families having participated in dozens of funeral missions on his motorcycle giving honor to our veterans and their families. He leaves behind many friends and he will be greatly missed. He fought a long hard fight with his cancer and finally the Lord now has him in His arms. RIP Russell!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
