Ruth Alean (Stoops ) Caruso age 89, of Springfield passed away Tuesday, October 25th, 2016 at Citizens Memorial Health Care .
She was born in Springfield, Missouri on September 29, 1927, the daughter of Ervin and Lucy Stoops. Ruth spent her life working as a housekeeper. She enjoyed visiting and cooking for her friends. She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible. She will always be remembered by her family for her hard work ethic.
Survivors include one sister, Hazel Baker, Pleasant Hope; one brother, Robert Stoops, Anaheim, CA; many nieces and nephews, whom she dearly loved; and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ervin and Lucy Stoops; two brothers Gene Stoops and Floyd Stoops; three sisters, Dorothy Snow, Jewel Mayfield, and Ethel Frazier.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, October 28, 2016 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 29th, 2016 at 10:00 am in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens 3506 North National Springfield, Missouri 65803, Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
