Ruth Marguerite Noe – Acker, age 97, of Springfield, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in Brookhaven Healthcare Center. She was born October 22, 1914, in Aurora, MO, to Charles and Rose (Haas) Rhodes. Ruth was a member of the Central Assembly of God , and had been attending Brighton Assembly of God. Ruth worked for Gospel Publishing House for over thirty years. She enjoyed gardening , and traveling and was a devoted pastors wife. She had a great love for the Lord. Ruth had a passion for missions , and charities , and had a desire in praying with and for people , and spreading the word of God. Her greatest joy was being with her family and watching them grow, especially her great-great – grandson.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Noe; second husband, Rev. Jack Acker; and her parents. She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Dedmon of Springfield, MO; three grandchildren, Teresa Marchandise and family and Todd Dedmon and family all of Nixa, and Tonya Stokes and family of Brighton; six great- grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother , Gene Rhodes of Republic; and a host of friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2011, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with Rev. Jim Johnson and Rev. Charles Cross officiating. Burial will be held in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, November 17, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
