Samuel Ronald Cox, born February 20, 1953 in Fort Smith, Ark., died peacefully in his sleep Saturday night in his home in Pleasant Hope. A graduate of Verona High School, Sam was a jack of all trades but, his passion was caring for his horses.
He is survived by his mother, Josephine; siblings, Bonnie, Carol, Christine, Bill Joe, David and Charles. He is also survived by his daughter, Kayla; son, Aaron; daughter-in-law, Erin; and the grandchildren he adored, Airen, Emma, Karsyn and Aayden James.
Sam loved hunting, fishing, the Pittsberg Steelers and spending time with his grandkids. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Memorial service will be at Greenlawn Funeral Home North tonight from 6-8 p.m.
