Sandra J. Slonecker, age 78, of Republic, Missouri, passed away on February 3, 2024, at Mercy Hospital. Sandra was born to Sanford and Elinor Bales on April 28, 1945, in Fort Smith, AR, and graduated from Nevada High School, Nevada, MO. Sandra was united in marriage to Rick Slonecker on November 8, 1972, in Springfield.
Sandra started her own company Sundown Creations, and worked as a secretary in the medical field for many years. When not working, she enjoyed spending her time crafting and interior decorating. Nothing, however, brought her more fulfillment than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sandra was preceded in death by her loving husband Rick Slonecker; her father, Sanford Bales; mother, Elinor Bales; and two great-grandchildren, Katelynn and Tyler. She is survived by her daughter Susan Glendenning and husband Dale; daughter Lori Smith and husband Andy; three stepdaughters, Wanna, Deb, and Cheri; 4 grandchildren, Heather, Dakota, Kelsey, and Justin; 4 great-grandchildren, Jackson, Elinor, Olivia and Barrett; and a host of family and friends.
Private family services will be at a later date.
Cremation services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
