Sarah Ann Leick left this world on August 12, after a long illness. Sarah was born in Springfield, Mo., in 1946, and graduated from St. Agnes High School. She had several careers throughout her life and was well respected in each of them. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Thurman; and her father, Joe Thurman. Survivors include her son, Eric Leick; daughter-in-law Cory Leick; and her granddaughter, Nolah Leick, whom she adored. Sarah had a kind, gentle spirit that her friends knew well and loved laughter, flowers, hummingbirds, and most of all her family. A memorial will be held on Tuesday, August 18, in Greenlawn Funeral Home South, at 3 p.m. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the ALS Association in memory of Sarah (1721 W. Elfindale Suite 101, Springfield, MO 65807).
