Sarah Elizabeth (Landers) Weber passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 in Cox South Hospital at the age of 97. She was born April 18, 1913 in Dadeville, Mo., to Oris and Lucy (Dunaway) Landers. She lived in Dadeville, Mo. until 1927 when the family moved to Springfield, Mo. She graduated from Central High School in 1931. She married Charles Albert Weber on October 8, 1932. They lived in Dade County, Mo. for 20 years returning to Springfield, Mo. in 1955. She worked at the SMS cafeteria for many years and was Food Service Manager for the Regional Diagnostic Clinic until retirement. She was a member of Parkview Christian Church for 55 Years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, one sister, and a son-in-law Walter Baker.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Jane Baker of Ellington, Mo., Sara Holt and husband Ed of Springfield, Mo., June Parker and husband Mike of Claremore, Okla.; and one son, Carl Weber and wife Freda of Jefferson City, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, Lester Baker and wife Gayla, Linda Baker, Allan Weber and wife Tammy, Paul Weber and wife Barbara, Christy Maus and husband, Darrell, Brenda Bennett, Dan Holt and wife Jennifer, Jason Shuler and wife Jeannie, Jennifer Staton and husband Joey, and Stephen Bennett; 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held October 20, 2010 at 2 P.M. in Greenlawn East Funeral Home with burial following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be October 19th, 2010 from 6 to 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Parkview Christian Church, 1362 S. Campbell, Springfield, Mo., 65804.
