Scott Lane Wakefield, 53, passed away unexpectedly in his home from cardiac arrest on Saturday, February 2, 2013.
He was the son of Larry and Maryann Wakefield. Scott was the proud parent of Mandi Shrock and her husband, Gavin Shrock; Ryan Fordyce; and Dalton Wakefield. He was the grandfather of Isaiah and Kaitlyn Shrock; and brother to Allen Wakefield and his wife, Lisa Wakefield. Scott’s nephews and their families were important in his life: Amos Bridges and his wife Paulette Harvey; Phillip Bridges, his wife Dana Bridges, and their son, Eliott Cole Bridges; and Alex Wakefield.
Scott had several loves: his family, building, repairing, and collecting guns, his many friends, music, and his motorcycles. Scott’s mission was making life better for others.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2:00-3:30 p.m., with a memorial service 3:30-4:00 p.m., in Central Christian Church, corner of Division and Washington. Burial will follow immediately in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Scott’s name to: Toys for Tots, Love Inc. Attention: Jennifer, 7347 W. Highway 76, Branson, 65616 or a charity of your choice. Scott loved wrapping gifts and making deliveries from his bike.
