Sharon Janette Rogers, 75, of Springfield MO passed away at 3:10 P.M. on Sunday January 10, 2021 at
Cox South Hospital in Springfield MO.
Sharon, one of 8 children, was born on October 25, 1945 to Joe and Cora Lorene Stapp in Rogersville, MO. She married Gerald Rogers on April 11, 1965, who preceded her in death. Sharon’s parents and four of her siblings have also preceded her in death.
Sharon and Gerald have one daughter and son-in-law, Jen Rogers and Bailey Smoot of Lampe, MO. Also
surviving are Sharon’s siblings, Shirley Chadwell, Barbara Lassley, and Bob Stapp, along with many nieces and nephews.
Sharon was a long time resident of Southwest MO, and graduated from high school Sparta, MO in 1965.
She worked in the home and held various part time jobs over the years before retiring in 2010.
Sharon was a true solider of God and loved to serve others. A small celebration of life will be held on
Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at New Testament Christian Church located on 403 E. Bennett
St. in Springfield, MO.
In lieu of flowers, her daughter requests donations be made in Sharon’s name to New Testament
Christian Church.
