Sharon “Sherry” Kay Wolfe Clevenger was born on February 20, 1943, to Helen (Bilyeu) Wolfe and Ernie Wolfe at Christian Center, Missouri. Sherry always lived in the Ozark and Sparta areas, also living a few years at Branson.
Sherry accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior the age of nine. At that time, she joined the Victory Baptist Church where her grandparents, Wyatt and Linda Bilyeu, were charter members. She remained a faithful member as long as her health permitted. She taught Sunday School, worked during Bible School, and worked for many years with the Children’s Bible Drills. Sherry also served as the church historian and church clerk for 40 years.
Sherry lost her husband, R.C. Clevenger, the love of her life, in 1995. She worked for Branson Schools for 21 years and Ozark Schools for 14 years, retiring from there in 2007. Sherry also served on the Prospect-McCoy Cemetery Board as secretary for 28 years.
She loved to travel and had travelled all over the United States and many other countries. Sherry also had a passion for decorating cakes, and since 1973, had spent many, many, many hours doing so. She decorated cakes for all occasions but especially loved to decorate wedding cakes.
Sherry was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Dixie Page; brother, Bob Brumley; sister-in-law, Joyce Brumley; brother-in-law, Lee page; in-laws, Carl and Ruth Clevenger; and niece, Cindy Carey.
Sherry is survived by son, Craig Clevenger and his wife, Teresa, of Oldfield; daughter, Jan Robison and her husband, Rodney, of Rogersville; daughter, Cheryl Williams and her husband, Kevin, of Rogersville; granddaughter, Rochelle Robison of Rogersville; and five grandsons: Ryan Robison and his wife, Clarissa of Rogersville; Cody Clevenger and his wife, Megan, of Oldfield; Tyler Clevenger and his wife, Kim, of Oldfield; Robb Williams and his wife, Alicia, of Chicago; and Adam Williams and his wife, Madison, of Springfield. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Connor, Cash, Avery, Luke, and Huxson Clevenger of Oldfield; two great-nieces, Amber Horne and husband, John, of Ozark, and April Ryan and husband, Clint, of Ozark; along with many other relatives and a host of good friends.
A visitation for Sherry will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 am, at Greenlawn Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center in Ozark. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Jeremy Gilbert, will be held at 11:00 am following the visitation. There will be a formal procession from the funeral home to McCoy Cemetery where Sherry will be laid to rest next to her husband, R.C.
