Shelly Jean Wiehe, 46, of Republic, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on July 11,
2013, while sleeping peacefully at home. Born November 14, 1966, in Monett, Missouri Shelly was the daughter of Charles and Linda Wiehe. She
was the second child of four siblings. In addition to her parents, Shelly is survived by her spouse of 18 years Esan Kalaj; her brother Richard Wiehe, his wife Loretta, their daughters Jessica and Michaela, and son Mark Croucher, his wife Heather and their son Zeke; her sister Christine Wiehe; and sister Stacie Hanson, her husband Paul and their two children Katelynn and Logan; as well as her grandmothers Francis Kleeman and Erna Schoen .
Shelly graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1985 and from Missouri State University in 1989, with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. After many years of successfully managing hotels throughout the sun belt of
the United States she decided it was time for a change that would bring her closer to her family. Returning to Missouri State University, Shelly earned a Master of Art in Education in 2011. She was able to enrich many
students’ lives during the 2012 – 2013 school year at Greenfield High School, teaching Family and Consumer Science classes. In addition she was very involved with the sports boosters and FCCLA –Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. Shelly had a generous heart, was a joy to be around, and brought with her a certain exuberance that cannot be replaced; she will be eternally missed by her many friends and family.
Visitation will be held Monday July 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home East in Springfield, Missouri.
Shelly will be laid to rest Tuesday July 16th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friestatt, Missouri. A service celebrating her life will begin at 10 AM and will be preceded by a visitation period at 9 AM.
