Sherry Ann Oetting, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri. She was born on December 22, 1962, in Junction City, Kansas, and spent her life spreading joy and kindness to those around her.
A dedicated server at Cracker Barrel, Sherry was known for her warm smile and exceptional ability to connect with customers. Her love for her work was evident, and many will remember her as a friendly face who made every dining experience special. Sherry had a special fondness for Olive Garden, where she enjoyed the all-you-can-eat breadsticks and salad-a true testament to her love of good food and memorable moments shared with friends and family.
In addition to her career, Sherry was a passionate crafter, often pouring her creative spirit into beautiful projects that she would proudly share with loved ones. Her artistic touch will be missed, as will the warmth she brought into every room.

Sherry is survived by her devoted mother, “Trudy” Waltraud Oetting, and her loving sisters, Samantha Allee and Anita Henderson. The bond they shared will forever be cherished, and her family takes comfort in the countless memories of laughter and love.
A funeral service to celebrate Sherry’s life will be held on August 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri. The family invites all who knew and loved Sherry to join them in honoring her life, followed by her burial at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
