Shirley Ann Hatchett, age 67, of Hollister, MO passed away Friday, October 7, 2011 at St. John’s Hosptial. She was born October 23, 1943, in Springfield, MO, to James and Myrtle (Clark) Scroggins, Sr.
Shirley was employed by Shoneys Restaurant in Branson. She loved to travel and was the only licensed woman sailboat Captain in Key West, Florida. Shirley was very active in Camp Bluebird which was a cancer camp sponsered by St. John’s. She enjoyed decorating her home for the different holidays and seasons and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Her father, James R. Scroggins, Sr., preceded her in death.
Survivors include her mother, Myrtle Mae Scroggins of Springfield; siblings, Anita Grant of Halfway, MO and James R. Scroggins, Jr. of Hollywood , FL; and a host of friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2011, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with Chaplain Ellen Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior the service beginning at 5:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
