Shirley Ann Roberts, 74, born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, February 17, 1936, passed away, peacefully, in her home, October 27, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Pearl (Burke) Cuica; father, Reginald Edward Adams; step-father, Peter Stanley Cuica; brother, Charles E. Adams; husbands, Wayne P. Wright and Calvin D. Roberts; and grandson, Brian “Scott” Grant.
She is survived by daughters, Ginger K. (Starr) Grant and husband Craig, Willard, Mo, and Michelle L. (Wright) Johnson and husband Wayne, Kimberling City, Mo.; three grandsons; two great-grandchildren; 10 step-children; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Shirley could be stubborn, tenacious, and caring. Sometimes, this was all at once! She was a graduate of Loretto Academy, Kansas City, Kansas. She was one of the pioneers of today’s working woman, as was her mother, before her.
Shirley has chosen to donate her body to science. A memorial service will be held in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, at 3 p.m., Saturday, October 30, 2010.
