Shirley Shinnebarger of Walnut Shade, Missouri, wife of Charles and mother of Jody, Cathy, and Deanna was born on March 17, 1938, in Green Forest, Arkansas and passed away at Webco Manor in Marshfield, Missouri on August 26, 2026, at the age of 88.
On September 1, 1957, she was united in marriage to Charles Edward Shinnebarger. They celebrated many milestones for a total of almost 69 years. At a young age Shirley gave her heart to the Lord and was a faithful follower of Jesus and served as church pianist for many years. She was blessed to raise three children and was an integral part of caring for her six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Shirley lived a hard-working life in careers including home maker, hotel laundress, waitress at Branson’s premier French restaurant, Chef Tetart’s, and trained to become a beautician and owned her own Beauty Shop located in Walnut Shade. She had many faithful clients and friends.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Charles Shinnebarger; her son, Jody Shinnebarger (wife Gayla) of Galena, MO; two daughters, Cathy Shinnebarger of Nixa, Mo and Deanna Farley (husband James) of Galena, MO. She was blessed with six grandchildren: Michael Vise, Brandi Bryan, Joshua Shinnebarger, Aaron Shinnebarger, Christopher Farley, and Amy Farley. Three great-grandchildren: Makayla Bryan, JayDee Shinnebarger, and Weston Farley. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
As the last member of her family, she was preceded in death by parents, Jody and Ruby Asbury; four sisters, Iva Lee Simpson, Wanda Irvin, Ethel Gardner, and Sharon Hammond; and four brothers, Roy Asbury, Bill Asbury, Richard Asbury, and Kenneth Asbury.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the Farewell Cemetery in Green Forest, Arkansas. Pastor Jamie Bilyeu will officiate. Pall Bearers: Michael Vise, Joshua Shinnebarger, Aaron Shinnebarger, Christopher Farley, Jason Bryan, and James Farley. Honorary Pall Bearers: JayDee Shinnebarger, and Weston Farley.
Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.
