Shirley Jean Morton 94, Springfield, MO. passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO. She was born on October 18, 1926, in Springfield, MO. to Leonard and Velma (Keller) Wilson. She had worked many years for the American Linen Supply Company. Shirley loved Vince Gill, Marty Robbins, and Alabama music. One of her favorite songs was “Go Rest High On That Mountain”. She also loved quilting and sewing and spending time with her family.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl Monroe Morton, her brother: Steve Orville Hollie, her sister: Esther Nunn and her brother-in-law: Jack Morton. Survivors include her son, Joe Morton, sister-in-law: Shirley Hollie and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Cremation will be under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will be at a later date, at Springfield National Cemetery.
