Shirley Jean Cruse-Smith, 74, was born on May 13, 1936, in Springfield, Missouri.
Shirley retired from St. John’s Hospital in 1996 from position Cook II. Shirley loved fishing, camping, and chatting with her e-mail pals online. She was a member of the Iris Society and loved her Iris collection.
Shirley was preceded in death by her first husband and house mate, James Simpson; her parents, James and Georgia Cruse; and her brothers, Jessie Nelson and Junior Case; also a granddaughter, Heather Parrott.
She is survived by her two daughters, Polly Simpson, and her mate, Karen Shouse, and DeLane Parrott, and her husband Charles; her three grandchildren, Desmay Clinkingbeard, and her husband, Chris, Charles Parrott III, and Chirstian Phillips; two great-grandchildren, Rylan Clinkingbeard and Heather Nicole Clinkingbeard; her sisters, June Bowers, Louise Tillis, and Elender Roush; and a brother, William Cruse.
Funeral services will be at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Tuesday, April, 26, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. with interment following at Bellview Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri. Visitation will be Tuesday, Monday, April, 25, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
