Stacey Suzanne Chappell, a beloved wife, mother, and cherished friend, was born on August 1, 1967, in Springfield, Missouri, to Floyd Ray and Beverly (Cooper) Elder. With her warm spirit and entrepreneurial passion, Stacey became a well-known business owner in the flea market community, establishing a vibrant presence at Saddie Mae’s that brought joy to countless customers. She was united in marriage to Marty Chappell December 7, 2007. She was a member of the Buffalo Eastern Star.
Stacey passed away on June 28, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Martin “Marty” Chappell; her adoring daughters: Lacey Ennis (Jeremy), and Whitney English; and her mother, Beverly Elder; a stepson Jason Chappell (Jessica); two stepdaughters: Amanda Henley (Dustin), and Kasey Batson (Anthony); 14 grandchildren; a brother Mark Elder. Stacey’s vibrant personality and infectious smile will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Stacey was preceded in death by her father Floyd “Flip” Elder; and a brother Scott Elder.
To celebrate Stacey’s life and the joy she brought to those around her, a Funeral Service will be held at Pitts Chapel on July 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory and sharing cherished stories.
Following the service, burial will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri. Stacey will be laid to rest, surrounded by the beauty of nature, in a place where her spirit can soar free. Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Stacey’s name to support: Boston Terrier Rescue. This celebration of her life will be a heartfelt gathering filled with stories, laughter, and the love that Stacey so freely gave.

I am so thankful to have been given the opportunity to meet Stacey. I first met her a little over 22 years ago after beginning a relationship with her daughter Lacey. Although my interactions with Stacey were brief, she was always so kind to me and never failed to make me feel welcome. She was very funny and blunt. I always appreciated how direct she was. She wasn't one to beat around the bush. I feel extremely lucky to have met her. I want to express my deepest condolences to everyone who knew and loved her. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
