With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Stella Louise Gardner, who left us unexpectedly on December 17, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on July 24, 1957, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Stella was a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew her.

Stella was a spirited soul, known for her vibrant personality and candid nature. As a treasured cashier at Walmart in Thayer, Missouri, she became a beloved part of the community, always ensuring her checkout area was not just clean, but an inviting space for her many regulars and friends. Her laughter, quick wit, and genuine warmth touched the hearts of all who crossed her path.

She is survived by her doting mother Betty A. Hendrix, loving sister, Susan Baldridge; her devoted daughter, Sadie Gardner; and her cherished son, Jesse Gardner. Stella’s indomitable spirit will continue to live on in the wonderful memories she created with family and friends, and she will be profoundly missed by all.

In celebration of Stella’s life, memorial services will be held at a later date, as we come together to honor her legacy and share our fondest memories.
