Stephen (Steve) P. Spirk stepped into the presence of his Savior & Lord, Jesus Christ, and eternal life on August 15, 2026. He passed way too soon from aggressive brain tumors but claimed it “to bring glory to God”! His faith and life as a warrior for Jesus was very evident in all he did. He was born on March 30, 1956 to Stephen J and Irene (Papp) Spirk at the US Army Hospital in Fort Leonard Wood Missouri. He married his wife Patricia (Pinki) on June 23, 2001 and recently celebrated their 25th anniversary of their love. He also had 3 children: Christopher, Stephanie, and Elizabeth from a previous marriage.
Steve graduated from Harrison High School in Colorado Springs, CO in 1974. He then graduated from Pikes Peak Community College in 1981 with an A.A.S. degree in Electronic Technology. He initially worked for Digital Equipment Co, Compaq, H.P., and Dish Network as a test engineer. Then later for Dish Network as a hardware buyer and fully retired in 2022.
Being active was something Steve loved to do. He especially enjoyed tending to the two greenhouses he built. He set up self-watering for the plants, chopped firewood, burned leaves, and mastered every specialized piece of equipment required to keep up the property. His car maintenance skills saved us many dollars in repairs. His cooking expertise amazed and delighted all who sat at his table. His prize possession, an answer to his lifelong dream, was the huge barn he had to keep all his tools and accessories he needed to complete these tasks. He was multi-talented and willing to help others when he could. There wasn’t much Steve or his fallback consultant, YouTube University, couldn’t handle together.
Two little Yorkie dogs Graci & Teddy Bear kept Steve loved and amused. Graci was daddy’s girl and would only listen to him. His all-time favorite dog was Dozer a Doberman and they are finally reunited!
Steve leaves behind a family who will cherish his memory forever. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Pinki); children: Christopher (Danielle) Spirk, Stephanie Spirk, and Elizabeth Spirk; grandsons: Jayson, Brayden, and Tristyn Spirk; sister: Mary Ann (Richard) Meyer, brother: John Spirk, plus many nieces & nephews, and in-laws who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Irene, and brothers Stephen and Charles.
Visitation will be 4-7 on Friday August 21st at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson. The Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 with refreshments to follow afterwards on Saturday August 22nd at Healing River Worship Center at 265 Oak Ridge Rd, Walnut Shade, MO . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to this church and/or for serving the homeless at God’s Club/Ashley Emerick 354 River Bluff Dr. Branson, MO 65615.
