Stephen Edward Barnett, age 80, of Bolivar, MO, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Parkview Healthcare Facility. He was born April 23, 1935, in Follett, TX, to Nip and Gladys (Pettus) Barnett. He is a US Air Force Korean War Veteran. He was united in marriage to Mary L. Harper October 20, 1962.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Jack Barnett; and one sister Mary Lindquist.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Mary Barnett of the home; one daughter Lynn Barnett-Green of Kansas City, MO; three grandchildren: Jared Green, Alyssa Green, and Alexander Green all of Kansas City, MO; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, October 4, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of plant and flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Polk County Senior Center.
