Steven Michael King, age 45, passed away 07/11/10 in his home in Nixa from complications of diabetes.
He was retired from the military, USN “FMF” Corpsman. “Semper Fi”
Steven was born in England to John and Ena King 07/12/65 while his dad was stationed there in the Air Force. They proceeded him in death.
Steven enlisted in the Navy at a young age and became a Navy Corpsman working with Navy and Marine personnel.
On April 30th, 2004 he married Carol Perkins in Springfield who was the love of his life and survives him. Also survived by sons; Trevor and Tyler of the home. Other family left to mourn him, are his brothers
Garry King (Donna) of Kentucky, and Mark King of California. Sisters Deborah Collyott (Van) of
Springfield, and Leanda Bollinger(Sam) of Billings.
Also survived by Charles and Virginia Perkins; his father and mother-in-law. Sisters-in-law Candy Brown (Rick)of Nixa, Nancy Irvine (Don)of Willard and brother-in-law Chuck Perkins (Stephany) of Springfield, and 10 nephews, 6 nieces, 5 great nephews, 4 great nieces, and 1 great great niece. And special friends of Steven, Al Sass and Joe Hathcock.
Memorial service is Saturday 07/17/10 at 2p.m. at Greenlawn East.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the DAV which Steven was a lifelong member of.
