Susan E. “Susie” Howard went to meet her Lord on Saturday, August 11, 2012. Susie was born January 4, 1955 to Harold and Ruth (Chubb) Linam in Springfield, MO. She and Tom Howard were married February 21, 1975. They were privileged to share over 37 years together.
Susie was a graduate of Central High School. She received her nursing degree from Graff Vo-Tech/OTC. During her nursing career she worked at both Cox and St. John’s Hospitals.
Susie loved her family and friends dearly, especially her precious granddaughter, Dacoda. She had a special love of animals, including her dog Libbey and cat Penelope. She loved to play jokes on people and enjoyed those played on her. Susie loved to travel and she and Tom were able to visit many wonderful locations throughout the years.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents, her parents-in-law and her daughter-in-law, Christian. She is survived by her husband, Tom; one son, Todd; one granddaughter, Dacoda; one brother, David Linam and her sister-in-law, Renee. She is also survived by countless other family and friends.
Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 16, 2012 in Rose Hill Baptist Church in Willard, MO, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
