Swanie Bailey, 85, of Springfield passed away on November 1, 2019. She was born in Bucklin, MO on May 6, 1934 to Edgar and Hertha (Stevens) Payne. She married Billy F. Bailey and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by 1 daughter Marilyn White, 3 sons: Willis Bryant, Michael Bryant, Ronald Bryant, 2 stepsons: John Bailey, Joseph Bailey, 1 sister Mary Linder, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 4-6:00 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2019, at First Freewill Baprtist Church 2635 West Nichols, Springfield, MO.
Interment will be on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Edford Township Cemetery in Geneseo, Illinois. Swanie was a kind and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother.
