Tammy DeMello, 58, of Springfield, Missouri went home to her Savior on Thursday, February 23, 2023. She was born on September 10, 1964 in Norwalk, California to Nemesio (Jessie) and Zeta DeMello.
Tammy attended Pacific High School and graduated with honors in 1982 with scholarships from Bank of America and Portuguese American Club. She attended Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, California. She later worked for Norton Air Force Base as a secretary in San Bernardino, California, and a desk clerk at Arrowhead Bowling Lanes. In September 1988, she worked in the Mail Distribution for the United States Postal Service as a clerk before retiring in 2013.
When Tammy was physically able, she attended Northside Assembly of God in Springfield, Mo. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and gardening she especially loved her purple flowers.
She is preceded in death by her father Nemesio “Jessie” DeMello, 3 Brothers; Daniel DeMello, David DeMello and Donald DeMello.
Tammy is survived by her mother Zeta Bentley and step father Larry Bentley, Son Jesse DeMello, daughter Stephanie DeMello, grandson Avan Graves, Brothers Dennis DeMello, Dale DeMello and wife Paula DeMello, Nieces and Nephews; Amanda Fowler, Ashley Van Mouwerik, Jessica Fultz, Heather DeMello, Kate DeMello, David DeMello, 29 cousins.
The family would like to thank Mercy Hospitals doctors and medical staff for all their loving care over the past 4 years.
Celebration of life for Tammy will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Northside Assembly of God, 2310 N. Campbell Springfield, Missouri 65803.
