A traditional obituary can’t begin to describe the woman Tammy was. She had a pure heart –
She was caring, compassionate, and a stranger to no one. Every person she met she became curious about, asking details about their lives in hopes of finding a connecting dot. She loved generously. She carried a joyful spirit and brought it with her everywhere she went. She loved to express herself through writing and poetry, and she began to be a crafter the older she grew; gifting others handmade jewelry and dolls and trinkets.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, making memories and laughing together. What a laugh she had. Always starting with a wide smile and focused eyes as she listened intently to the joke you were telling; her expression turning into a genuine, warm laugh. She maintained a sense of playfulness, no matter her age.
Her clothing was an expression of her unique and individual style, which made her stand out among the crowd. How lovely her dresses and layered scarves and necklaces were, always paired with a conversation piece:
A big, beautiful hat for all to see and admire.
Tammy was a different kind of human. She had no malice and she did not practice judgment of others. She saw people for who they were and accepted them with open arms. She was a container of love and pure intentions, always choosing to include anyone and everyone around her. She could make the perfect Orange Julius. She was a performer during Women’s Night, playing a character and dancing alongside her sisters to a choreographed song. She loved to have movie nights where she just might talk through the whole thing – Making predictions about the storyline and picking out her favorite character.
Truly, there was no one like her.
She was loved by many on this earth, who will continue to love and miss her in her absence.
We will gather for her funeral service on Wednesday, December 21st, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral and Cemetery North.
