Miss Taylor Star Wilson, age 31 Springfield, Missouri, passed away on May 6, 2026. Taylor was born to Richard Wilson Jr and Ivette Wilson on April 28, 1995 in Mexico, MO. She was raised in Springfield, MO.
Taylor’s purpose in the world was to spread peace, love, kindness, and warmth. She never met a stranger and was always encouraging to anyone who came in contact with her. She was full of life, love and faith and wanted everyone to feel it. Taylor loves everything about spending time with her family and friends. She loves music, getting her craft on, attending church and helping spread the word of God. She loves being able to be a girly girl with her own unique style. She loves being there for others and encouraging all around her. She also loves eating, Taco Bell specifically. Nothing, however, brought her more fulfillment than her nephews. She loves them more than anything on this earth.
Taylor Star will be remembered as the light in the darkness even when the person didn’t know they needed it the most. Her spirit was pure and beautifully unique. She was often described by others as a sweet, silly, kinda crazy (about her stuff), always loving and kind, funny and an all-around amazing person.
Taylor leaves behind a legacy of never giving up the fight to the very end and proving all the nay sayers wrong. Taylor is a fighter and a survivor. Tay Tay will always be the exception. Our world lost a bit of it’s brightness but her light will now shine brightly in heaven. To know her, is to love her. Whether before the accident or after.
Like a caterpillar, she proved she was brave enough to blossom into a beautiful butterfly. And now the most beautiful butterfly she will remain. Fly high baby girl and rest easy. Until we meet again.
Taylor was preceded in death by her father, Richard Wilson Jr. She is survived by her mother Ivette Wilson, brother in-law Dustin Ellzey, sisters Stephanie Ellzey, Melanie Wilson, Valerie Hernandez, Sandy Linares, nephews Rylan, Jayden, Oliver, Graysen, Cody, Daxton and Logan, 2 nieces Olive and Gabby, many aunts and uncles, many cousins and two grandmother’s.
A Memorial Service for Taylor will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home South 441 West Battlefield, Springfield, MO.

I wasn't able to come today because I was tied up with my mother but know my heart's with you and all your family. I work where Taylor lived. I am so saddened by her loss. Because of muti duties at work I often would be on her hall & her sweetness would show on things she wanted to share and wishing me a nice day. Often it was the highlight of the day just to check on her to find out if she needed anything & hear of her projects & thoughts. Such a sweet soul. Felt like a daughter to me.
