Teagan, 15, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly August 10, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, memories, and people whose lives will never be the same without her.
Though her time with us was far too short, Teagan made an impact that will last forever. She was one of the smartest, most loyal, and most loving people you could ever have the privilege of knowing. She could be a little shy at times, but it never took long for her beautiful smile to come through. Her kindness, her heart, and the way she cared for the people around her were some of the things that made her so special.
Teagan loved volleyball and enjoyed being part of a team. She brought the same dedication and loyalty to the people she loved as she did to the things she cared about. To know Teagan was to know someone who would be there for you, someone who loved deeply, and someone whose presence could make an ordinary day feel a little brighter.
Teagan will be forever loved and remembered by her parents, Justin Slavens and Katrina Parris; her brothers, Joshua Tristan Parris and Tanner Parris; her sister, Alexis Slavens; her grandparents, Ellen and Kenneth Medley; her great-grandmother, Judith Highfill; her niece, Tatum Parris; her aunts and uncles, Steve Slavens, Chris and McKayla Slavens Courtney and James Rone, and their families; as well as her cousins and many other family members and friends who loved her dearly.
There are no words that can truly capture what Teagan meant to the people who knew her. Fifteen years may never have been enough time, but in those fifteen years she gave her family and friends memories that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
Her smile will be missed. Her laugh will be missed. Her kindness will be missed. Most of all, Teagan will be missed.
She will forever remain a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, aunt, cousin, teammate, friend, and an irreplaceable part of her family.
Until we meet again, Teagan. You will always be loved, and you will never be forgotten.
