Theda Grace (Salsman) Keller, 94, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on August 27, 2020 at Jordan Creek Nursing and Rehab. She was born on October 19, 1925 in Springfield, Missouri to Joseph Salsman Sr. and Grace Aurora (Hall) Salsman. Theda graduated from Senior High School and went on to work as a Southwestern Bell Operator. She was a member of Mount Zion Presbyterian Church and loved helping the church with craft fairs and the occasional meal.
She was united in marriage to George H. Keller on August 17, 1964 in Boone County, Arkansas. They enjoyed many years together camping and fishing. They were never without their beloved dog Nikki.
Theda is proceeded in death by her loving husband George; parents Joseph and Grace Salsman; brother Joe Salsman; sister Evelyn Peters; daughter Theda Diane Leigh; and granddaughter Judy Geiger. She is survived by her daughter Juanita A. Lemons (husband Tom R. Lemons); stepchildren Marianne Price (husband Jim) and G. David Keller; Great Nieces Lacy Geiger Smith and Jamie Geiger Johnson; as well as a host of friends.
Theda will be laid to rest on September 4, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. in Missouri Veterans Cemetery next to her husband George. The family asks that in lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Missouri Chapter, 9370 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, 800-272-3900.
