Thelma Lee (Southworth) Murray of Springfield, MO was born on December 1, 1946, in Denver, CO. She went home to the Lord on May 16, 2026. Thelma had resided at Magnolia Square Nursing and Rehabilitation since November 2021, where she was cared for by amazing staff and nurses, as well as the amazing staff from Season’s Hospice. After fighting for two weeks, she passed with the biggest smile on her face! She is finally with her Jesus.
Thelma loved the Colorado mountains and singing in the choir at church. She always had Christian music playing and could be found every morning sitting on the couch reading her bible. She loved singing all the “old” hit tunes of her era and Christmas music. Despite her children’s embarrassment she would sing along as loud as she wanted to in the middle of a store.
Thelma was proceeded in death by her parents, Ervin and Eunice Southworth, brother, Kenneth, sisters, Donna and Phyllis, and grandson, Zach Mustain.
She is survived by her children, Christy Mustain (Greg), Michelle Bloyer (Scott), and Paul Murray (Shannon), and brother Richard. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Danielle (Caleb), Travis (Rachel), Tyler, and Morgan (Austin); four great-grandchildren, Michael, Vanessa, Arabella, and Marshall; and one expected great-grandson.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Following cremation, she will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, CO. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
