Thelma P. Elkins, 84, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010, in Jordan Creek Nursing & Care Center. She was born November 21, 1925, in Fair Grove, Mo., to Clarence and Nancy Fifield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Robert Newman; second husband, Walter Elkins; two sisters; and one brother. She is survived by one son, David Newman and wife Susie; one granddaughter, Cynthia Fullington and husband Chris; and one great-granddaughter, Cherish Fullington.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, October 11, 2010, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, under direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Friends may call at their convenience in the funeral home.
