Thelma Pearl Rhodes, age 93, of Springfield, MO, passed away Friday, August 19, 2011, at Tablerock Healthcare. She was born November 27, 1917, in Springfield, MO, to Orville and Pearl (Adams) Jennings.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Max Rhodes; one sister Ellen Jennings; and three brothers: Elmer, W.G.”Boots”, and Don Jennings.
She is survived by two sisters: Ruby North of Kimberling City, MO, and Gladys Law of McAllen, TX; two nephews: Barton Smith, and Don Jennings; four nieces: Gail Newlin, Leslie Tanner, Lori Mitchel, and Diana Gastineau; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, Springfield, MO, with Pastor Kimberly Cunningham officiating. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be held one hour before service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2011, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
