Theo Marion Condren, 80 of Bolivar, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, MO.  Theo was born on June 19, 1941, in Santa Paula, CA, to George Wellington and Sylvia (Morris) Condren.
          He graduated from Halfway High School Class of 1959.  During his years of schooling, his family moved several times to and from Polk County Missouri and Ventura County California.

          On one of the moves to Ventura County, he met Louise McConnell.  They were married on June 19, 1960.  They had two children: Becky and Donny.

          Theo and Louise moved back to Bolivar in 1961, where Theo worked for many years in the petroleum business.  His first employer in this profession was Hite Oil Company.  He first started out delivering fuel to many of the farmers in the area.  He also learned to work on various types of gas pumps.  This allowed him to travel to several states to ensure equipment was fully functional at numerous gas stations.  Due to poor health, he retired from this profession in 2006.  He never met a stranger and made friends everywhere that he went.

          Theo loved to hunt, fish, and metal detect.  He also loved to trade knives and guns.  He enjoyed playing a guitar and singing bluegrass music.  However, he loved hearing his son, Donny, play and sing.  Theo also loved to fix things that were broken.  He didn’t let his poor health stop him from pursuing woodworking as a new hobby; he loved creating many functional woodworking pieces for his family.

          He was a member of the Bolivar Church of Christ.

          Theo is survived by his wife, Louise; two children: Becky (William) Walker, Donny (Cindy) Condren; four grandchildren: Cody (Samantha) Walker, Travis Condren, Lacey (Ryan) Stokes, and Clay (Kaitlyn) Underwood; four great grandchildren: Duncan Walker, Luna Walker, Easton Stokes, and Weston Underwood; his siblings: Harold Condren, Nancy McKinney, Jane (Vestal) Alexander, Ann Miles, Helen (John) Camey, and Mike (Joann) Condren; his brother in-law Bill (Fayth) McConnell; his sister in-law Annie Keith; and many nieces and nephews.

          He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Irby and George Condren; and his sisters: Juanita Parker, and Violet Sweet.        

          According to Theo’s wishes his body will be cremated.  Memorial graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Greenwood Cemetery Bolivar, MO, with Dustin McCrickard officiating.  In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Online condolences may be made at:  www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
