Thorsteen Douglas ( Frosty) Daniel, age 88, of Springfield, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in his home. He was born June 22, 1927, in Stone County, MO, to Leland and Sadie (White) Daniel. He attended the Assembly Of God Church. He retired after 45 years with M.F.A. He loved his family time with his grandchildren, going to Silver Dollar City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Robin Elaine Tiller a sister; Beverly Stafford and a grandson; Thomas Lemons. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Lena Daniel, a son; Paul Daniel, and his wife Mae, of Idaho, his grandchildren; Jeanette Cain, Charles “Chuck” Daniel, and Johnsthan Lemons, several great-grandchildren, his brother; Ernest Lee Daniel, his sisters; Climena Whaley, Linda Yates, Martina Course, Jessie Buckelew, and Donna Scantlin. He is also survived by his special friend; B.J, Marsh.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 21, 2016, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO with Rev. Gail Cobb officiating. No visitation is planned. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
