Timothy James Taylor, age 56, of Elkland, Missouri, passed away on May 4th, 2024.
Timothy was born to James Taylor and Burna Belle (Huff) Taylor on Feb 23, 1968 in Springfield, Mo. He was raised in Fair Grove, Missouri and graduated from Fair Grove HS in 1986. He then went on to receive a Bachelors degree in Agriculture at SMSU, graduating in 1991.
On the evening of May 2nd. Timmy passed out and took a very hard fall, injuring his head and ribs. After 16 hours of tests in the hospital, he was rushed into emergency surgery to remove a severely ruptured spleen. His heart stopped 4 times before he succumbed to his injuries.
Timmy grew up working on the farm and remained working on Triple T Farms with his Dad and Brother all these years. Timmy and his brother, Terry were continuing to run the family farm since his Dad’s passing in 2022.
Timmy was an energetic, fun loving guy, who worked hard and played hard. He loved his friends and spent a lot of time enjoying life with them.
In HS Timmy excelled in Singing, Football and FFA. He was very involved in 4-H and showed horses and Holstein cattle in 4-h competitions.
Timmy was raised and saved in the FG United Methodist Church where he began to sing in the choir at an early age. He had a beautiful tenor voice that allowed him the opportunity to sing for weddings and funerals of locals and friends. He also performed at the Springfield Little Theater as a child. In HS he performed with the “We are the World” group as well as the National FFA choir.
In his adult years, Timmy really enjoyed going to the Lake and made sure he always had a boat or a Sea-Doo to entertain him and his friends. He was also an avid arrowhead collector , which was an interest he acquired from his Grandpa, Burnie Huff. He has continued to grow his collection through the years.
Timmy was known to gamble a bit too…but we won’t hold that against him..
Timmy loved his family and friends and would always be there for them if they needed any help.
Timmy was smart, funny, witty, handsome, talented and charming and his passing has left a huge hole in the heart of the many, many people who knew and loved him.
Timmy is preceded in death by his Father. James Taylor. He is survived by his Mother. Burna Belle Taylor, brother, Terry Taylor, Sister, Tina Taylor Wilson, Uncles, F.L (Junior) Taylor of Niangua, Mo and Charles Huff of Fair Grove. MO. Nephews David and Daniel Dennis and nieces, Dasha Dennis and Tiffany Wagnon and a host of cousins from the Taylor and Huff families.
A visitation for Timothy will be held on Friday, Friday, 10th of May, 2024, at 6:00 PM, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East in Missouri. A Funeral Service for Timothy will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Fair Grove United Methodist Church with a burial to follow at Cedar Bluff Cemetery located in Fair Grove, MO.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested live plants and donations be made in Timothy’s memory to Fair Grove United Methodist Church.
