On the morning of February 23rd, 2024, Timothy Joseph Sokolic of Spokane, Missouri passed away unexpectedly at the age of 61.
Tim was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert and Patricia (nee; Johnston) Sokolic on July 28th, 1962. In October of 1981 he married Lori Bell and together they raised two daughters; Jessica and Danielle.
Tim was a dedicated family man, friend to many, and a stranger to no one. His faith and his church family brought him comfort throughout his life. His work ethic was unrivaled, as he worked hard to build and sustain a family business building and installing custom countertops to support him and his family. That earned him the respect of anyone that knew him, but also his customers as he was always willing to go the extra mile to do the right thing. Anyone that knew Tim, knew he didn’t go anywhere without his ballcap and his tape measure. When he wasn’t working, which wasn’t often enough, his favorite place to be was on his boat at Table Rock Lake with his girls, drinking a beer, and listening to Joe Cocker. He carried his late father’s moto with him throughout his life, and anyone that knew him knows that motto – Smile Damnit.
He is preceded in death by his father, mother and his eldest brother, Curt A. Sokolic. He is survived by his wife, daughters and brothers, Chris (Angila) Sokolic, Tony (Pam) Sokolic and their families.
As stated in an article from early in his countertop career, “Men of greatness always have a trade mark. The Lone Ranger had his mask, Superman his cape, Indiana Jones carried a whip and Showcase Top Shop Foreman Tim Sokolic wears a hat.”
