It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tony Lee Linder, who departed this life on September 7, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on September 2, 1954, in Carthage, Missouri, to Lawrence Eugene Linder and Joyce Ernestine (Legg) Linder. He loved playing his guitar and he played Football on his High School Team He was also a Kansas City Chiefs Football fan. After High School, he went on to college and obtained his Bachelors Degree in Education. He was also a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed for a time with The Mid-America Dairyman Association, as well as manager with K-Mart Stores, and also worked in a Hospital Lab in his earlier days.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Joyce Linder, and one brother, Douglas Linder. He is survived by his brother, Michael Linder and his wife, Liumilla of Highlandville, MO. and his sister: Brenda Bengren ,and her husband, Rick, of Springfield, MO. He is also survived by his niece: Deanna Bengren and two nephews: David Linder and Douglas Bergren. Tony lived most of his life in The Springfield,MO. area where he forged lasting friendships and shared his love for life with those around him. He was known for his hardworking nature, unwavering kindness, and ability to lend a listening ear. Above all, he cherished his family.

Reflecting on his life, we remember Tony not only for his contributions as a laborer but also for the warmth he brought to those he knew. His compassion will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to call him a friend or family member.

As we honor his memory, a Graveside Service will take place at Moore Cemetery, near Stotts City, Mo., on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
