It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Valerie Ann Stuart at the age of 57. Valerie passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side in the CCU at CMC in Branson, on the afternoon of September 21, 2026.

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Val grew up as the oldest of her siblings in the same family home and graduated from Andrew Mynarski V.C. High School. As a young adult, she moved to Branson, Missouri, to begin a new adventure with her soulmate and future husband.

Valerie was predeceased by her parents, William and Carol MacKay (née Melby); and her brother, Shawn MacKay.

She is survived by; her devoted husband, Alan Stuart, her stepdaughters, Rebecca Stoneburner (Josh) and Rachel Carlson (Chris), her 5 step-grandchildren, her sister, Tammy MacKay-Flett (Alvin), many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Val’s heart was pure gold, and her smile had the power to change the entire mood of a room. She had a wonderful way of making everyone around her feel completely seen, cared for, and loved no matter what. She didn’t just move through life; she graced it with her kindness and gentle spirit. To have been loved by her was an immense gift. She taught us how to be better people simply by being herself.

In accordance with Valerie’s wishes, a private family funeral service will be held.  Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.  The date will be announced in the future.
