Vanessa Ruth Dougherty was born on February 17, 1988 in Waterloo, Iowa. She passed away on November 12, 2011 at the age of 23.
Vanessa lived in Springfield and graduated from Central High School. She loved life, her family and friends. She loved to sing, laugh and spend time with those that she loved. Vanessa made an impression on those she met and impacted the lives of others. She enjoyed helping those in need and was always quick to forgive.
Survivors include her father, James E. Dougherty and mother, Joanna Dougherty; one brother, J.R. Dougherty; two sisters, Treanna Dougherty and Serena Dougherty; grandfather, James G. Dougherty and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 18, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial to follow in Shiloh Cemetery, Macomb, MO. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
