Velma Ruth York, 83, of Springfield, MO., passed away on January 14, 2014. Velma was born on January 23, 1930 to James Kimble and Ines Gray. Velma loved to garden, she loved her flowers and was a member of South Haven Baptist Church.
Velma is survived by her husband Marshall, three children, Larry (Vicky) York, Douglas York and Sandra (Mark) Wrede, Six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
Visitation for Velma will be Thursday, January 16, 2014, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Funeral service will be Friday, January 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
