Vernon Lee Dryer, Sr., age 73, of Sprignfield,
MO, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Mercy Hospital. He was born July
4, 1940, in Dunnegan, MO, to Wilbur and Florence
(Skinner) Dryer. He
served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in
death by his parents; a son Michael Dryer; three
brothers: Raymond, David “Buck”, and Chester Dryer; two sisters:
Lilly Hahaought, and Trevie Davis; three brothers in-law: Lowell Davis, David
Pierce, and Richard Lemke; three sisters in-law: Dorothy, Evelyn, and Shirley
Dryer.
He is survived by his wife Debra Dryer, of Springfield, MO; one son
Vernon L. Dryer, Jr. and wife Terry of Fair Grove, MO; one daugher Debra
Williams and husband Ronald of Dogwood, MO; one brother Kenneth Dryer and wife
Edna of Kansas City, MO; two sisters: Thelma Jenkins of Bolivar, MO, and Mary
Lemke of Morrisville, MO; six grandchildren: Melissa, Amanda, Michael, Dustin,
Darlana, and Douglas; five great grandchildren: Alexander, Trey, Jesse,
Cameron, and Colton; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday,
August 31, 2013, at Bolivar City Cemetery,
Bolivar, MO,
with Pastor Carl Ray officiating. There
will be no visitation. Online
