Veryl Vaughan, 101, of Springfield, went to be with our creator on March 2, 2013 at James River Care Center . Veryl was born to Donna and Clarence Jones on January 14, 1912 in Chanute , Kansas. Veryl married Russell Vaughan in Ozark, Missouri in 1933 . Veryl was a member of Grant Avenue Baptist church. She loved flowers, singing, and spending time outdoors. She was preceded in death by her husband ,Russell Leonard Vaughan;her parents Clarence and Donna Jones; two children, Donald Russell Vaughan and Delores Rose Vaughan; five sisters and brothers; and two daughter-in-laws, Deanna Vaughan and Jonell Vaughan. She is survived by her children, Donna Stiver and husband Clarence of Springfield, Tony Vaughan of Nixa, Sammy Sue Williams and husband Joe of Springfield , and Dennis Vaughan and wife Sandra of Springfield; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchilden; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister Frances Wright of Golden, Missouri; a daughter-in-law Shirley Vaughan; and a host of family and friends. A celebration of Veryl’s life will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial in Danforth Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m., Tuesday in the funeral home. The family will would like to thank the staff of James River Care Center for all of their care and support during this time.
