Vicki Lynne Hopkins of Springfield, Missouri passed away April 1, 2023 peacefully at her home in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from Glendale High School in 1966 and then attended Southwest Missouri State. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in Springfield, until she met the love of her life, husband of 43 years, Mark. Shortly after they were married, Vicki and Mark, moved to Memphis, TN, sharing a life of travel, entertaining and adventure. Vicki was a dynamic salesperson and along with her passion for golf, sold apparel to golf courses throughout the southern states. She also had a soft heart for all animals, always the first to ask someone about their beloved pet. She was preceded in death by husband, Mark Hopkins; mother and father, Betty and Jack Kendrick; mother and father in-law, Dorothy and Ben Hopkins; brothers in-law, Ben Hopkins Jr. and Ed Loving. She is survived by her beloved dog “Tag”; sisters, Janet Kendrick Jones and Diane Kendrick Dufresne; brother, Randy Kendrick (Angela); sisters in-law, Katy Loving (Leroy), Debbie Hopkins-Annin (Steve), Judy Lohmeyer (Mike), Kim Hopkins-Will (Randy), Kari Hopkins and Loura Hopkins; nieces, Erin Dufresne (Carlos), Somer Weber (Kelly), Samantha Cotton, Lisa Yoakam (Jeff), Melissa Alexander, Heather Robbins (Kevin), Sally Breedlove (Tommy), Holly Butler (Clint) and Sarah Childress (Robert); nephews, David Loving (Kristina), Dustin Hopkins (Mekenzie), Ben Lohmeyer (Meika), Mark Lohmeyer (Nicole), Chase Marable (Haley); 21 grand nieces and nephews; godchildren, Mark Lohmeyer and Tucker Fox; special great nephew, Coleman Loving and namesake great niece, Evie Lynne Weber.
There will be a graveside service at Resurrection Cemetery, 4528 W Division, Springfield, MO on Saturday, April 22 at 3 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at Highland Springs Country Club, 5400 S Highland Springs Blvd, Springfield, MO. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Vicki was one of a kind and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
