Violet Malese Mayo was born in Mississippi to Orbie Lee and Madge Meaders on March 20th, 1933. She attended East Central Jr College, where she met her husband, Harold. They were married on July 11th, 1954 in Newton, MS. Malese worked as a bank teller and was active in the community through her involvement in Neighbors & Friends, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, DAR and Eastern Star. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who enjoyed games, dancing, crafting, shopping, organizing charity events, and living on Table Rock Lake. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kimberling City.
Malese was preceded in death by her husband Harold, her son David, her parents, and her five brothers. She is survived by her daughter Missie (Jeff) Carpenter, and their children; Trisha (Chase) Taggart and their son Paxton; Melanie (Nate) Taylor; and Katie.
Malese departed this life in Destin, FL, on August 22, 2018 having spent a wonderful week with her family in one of her favorite places.
Visitation will be Friday, August 31st at 9:30 AM at the First Baptist Church in Kimberling City, MO with the service to follow at 10:30 AM followed by burial at Rivermonte Memorial Garden Cemetery Springfield, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to First Baptist Church of Kimberling City, MO.
