Virginia Eloise Dickert, 98, of Springfield, MO completed her life on earth and began her life in Heaven on July 8, 2012. She was born on December 9, 1913 in Tuscaloosa. AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Wesley and Mattie Glenn Dickert of Macon, MS and sisters, Marguerite Creekmore of Columbus, MS and Jefferson City, MO and Nell Stark of Columbus, MS.
Her years were spent to the fullest serving God and enjoying others. She graduated from Central Bible Institute in 1948 and was a member of the Central Assembly of God Church. She retired from the Gospel Publishing House and spent her remaining years at Maranatha Village. She was a member of the auxiliary groups of Evangel University, Central Bible College, and Maranatha Village and was active in the Evangel University Auxiliary Prayer Group.
Eloise is survived by 4 nieces and 3 nephews, 4 great-nieces and 5 great-nephews, and 9 great-great nieces and 4 great-great nephews.
We will all miss her dearly, but rejoice that she is now reunited with beloved family members and friends gone before her and, most importantly, her beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Pall bearers are James C. Mapp, Rev. Jim Cole-Rous, Jim Rogers, Dr. Jonathan Spence, David Drake, Matt Dillon, and Charles Askew.
Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m., July 12, 2012, followed by graveside services at Greenlawn Cemetery. Officiating will be Dr. Robert Spence, President of Evangel College. Memorials may be made to Victory Mission in Springfield, MO or Ruth Peever (missionary in the Phillipines) c/o Assemblies of God Credit Union.
