Virginia Erwin, age 85, of Warsaw, passed away on December 10, 2012 in Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. Virginia was born on February 1, 1927 in Cedar Gap, MO, to Neil and Ruth Briggs . She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jean David Erwin and sister Mary Ann Talent. She is survived by her children: Jean Erwin Jr. (Rose), Martha Ward (David) of Springfield, John Erwin (Kathy) of Mt. Grove, Becky Hodges (Gary) of Kansas City, Sandy Bowlby (Keith) of Cross Timbers and Melinda Barryman (Randy) of Kansas City, 2 brother’s John Hodges of Atlanta, GA and Ray Briggs of Lees Summit, and a sister Dona Heisterberg of Lees Summit, MO and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday December 15, 2012 in Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield with inurnment being scheduled for a later date in the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Springfield.
