Virginia Lea Johnson “Tracy” age 90, of Fair Grove, Mo., Passed away Monday, April 8th, 2019. She was born on July 14, 1928 ( which she referred to as Valentine’s Day in July ) in Fair Grove, Mo, to Auburn and Etta Tracy. She was a lifetime resident of Dallas County. As a young girl, she was saved at a Goss School House Revival.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold E. Johnson, brother’s Richard, Buck and Cotton. Sister’s Pauline and Barbara and grandson Charlie.
She is survived by her children Sandy and Mike Allcorn, Fair Grove, Randy and Cheryl Johnson, Fair Grove, Tammy Johnson, Tulsa, OK., Timothy and Paula Johnson, Fair Grove, and James and Debbie Johnson, Fair Grove, sisters Darline and Gail Dill, Springfield, Mo. Sue and Wayne Bates, Fair Grove Mo. and brother Sass and Yvonne Tracy, Columbia, Mo. 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Virginia married the love of her life Harold on November 26, 1948, to the Union were born their 5 children. She was a lifelong member of Mutton Hollow Neighborly Workers Club.
Virginia wore many hats in her life including being a part of the Red Hat Society, teacher of a one-room schoolhouse, crafter, painter and seamstress with the Grey Ladies, chauffeur for her children and grandchildren, loved watching any ball game. An avid bowler.
Most everyone that knew Virginia, knew she was good cook and famous for her cinnamon rolls and meatballs and wieners.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, April 12, 2019, at Greenlawn North Funeral Home with burial to follow at Cedar Bluff Cemetery, Fair Grove.
