Virginia Laxton, age 86, passed away on August 23, 2013 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was born on November 26, 1927 in Kansas City, MO. She attended Drury College, retired from General Electric and was a Faithful member of Schweitzer United Methodist. Her interest’s included drawing, painting, knitting and most of all, spoiling her grandkids. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill J. Laxton, and her parents Leah O. Kirby and Cecil W. Kirby. Virginia is survived by her daughter Lana Endicott and husband Joe, her son Phillip Laxton, granddaughters, Tatum Wiggins and partner Cody Fossett, and Chelsey Walters and husband Cody, and her great-grandchildren, Cheyenne McKenzie Endicott, Pyper Lynn Rader and Emma Jean Fossett. A Visitation to Celebrate Virginia’s Life will be on Monday, August 26, 2013 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm,in Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
