Virginia “Jenny” Lee (Smith) Crossland of Niangua Missouri born to Walter and Louise (Gammill) Smith September 20, 1956, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022, leaving 66 years of memories to cherish.

On Tuesday evening, November 8^th, 2022, we lost a beloved member of our family. As Bobbie and family members gathered around her bed, we didn’t want her to leave us. God spoke and said, “I’ve got her,” and waiting family members in Heaven said, “We’ve got her.” Jenny passed peacefully into the arms of her beloved son Timmy and many more loved ones in Heaven. I can only say it was a joyous reunion.

Jenny leaves behind her beloved partner Bobbie Jackson. After meeting on April 9^th, 1997, they spent 25 years together, devoted to each other. Jenny’s greatest joy were times spent with family and cooking for them. She put a lot of heart in her cooking, and it showed.

Jenny also leaves two daughters, Christina and Ashley (husband Eric Potter) – eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. There were also cousins and nieces and nephews.

They will miss her beyond words. Jenny was one of seven children born to Walter and Louise Smith. Her loss leaves no words to mend our hearts. We know she is at peace in Heaven, and we will all meet again. Love you Jenny.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 15, 2022, 2:00pm – 3:00pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.

Funeral services are Tuesday, November 15, 2022, 3:00 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial following at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
